1: Organiser/eligibility
- The raffle is organised by 5th Avenue Project & GMT Statatory Reform
- Participation is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
2: Raffle platform & ticketing
- Tickets are sold via Zeffy’s online fundraising/raffle platform. zeffy.com
- Tickets may be purchased individually (£2 for one ticket) or as a bundle (£15 for 10 tickets) as described on the raffle page. zeffy.com
- Each ticket (or ticket bundle) corresponds to one or more entries into the draw, as specified at purchase. zeffy.com
3: Use of proceeds
- All funds raised via ticket sales will go towards the 5th Avenue Project’s mission — there are no platform or transaction fees deducted from the amount. zeffy.com
4: Legal/compliance — raffle/lottery law
- This raffle is operated under a Small Society Lottery Licence issued by Stockport Council, in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.
- Tickets may only be sold to individuals aged 16 or over
- The organiser is responsible for ensuring the raffle is conducted in compliance with all applicable licensing conditions and statutory requirements.
5: Winner selection/draw process
- Tickets sold will be assigned unique ticket numbers automatically by Zeffy upon purchase. zeffy.com
- The winning ticket(s) will be drawn after ticket sales close. As Zeffy does not provide an in-platform automated draw, the draw must be performed externally (manually or using an external random-number generator) and in accordance with any legal requirements. zeffy.com
- The date, time, and method of the draw will be stated on the 5th Avenue Raffle's webpage: www.5thavenueraffle.com
6: Notification and claiming prize(s)
- The winner(s) will be notified via email address provided at ticket purchase within 7 days of the draw.
- Prizes must be claimed within 28 days of the winner being notified. If a prize is not claimed within this period, organisers reserve the right to redraw or otherwise dispose of the prize as per their discretion.
- Prizes are non-transferable unless otherwise stated. As the prize is a cash prize, it will be paid directly to the confirmed winner and cannot be transferred to another person without the organiser’s prior approval.
7: Refunds and cancellations
- Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.
- If the raffle is cancelled for any reason before the draw, all ticket buyers will be notified and will receive a refund of the ticket cost (or have the option of donating the amount).
8: Data protection & privacy
- The personal data collected at ticket purchase (name, contact email/address, etc.) will be used solely for the purposes of administering the raffle (including ticket assignment, draw, and winner notification).
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties outside of what is legally required.
9: Limitation of liability
- The organiser is not liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from participation in the raffle or awarding of the prize, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- The organiser reserves the right to cancel, void or amend the raffle (including the draw date or prize) in case of force majeure, regulatory issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
10: Minimum Ticket Sales Clause
- To ensure fairness and financial responsibility:
- The advertised cash prize of £1000 is subject to a minimum amount of tickets being sold before the draw takes place.
- If the minimum number of tickets is not reached 24 hours before the draw date, the draw may be: Postponed by up to 14 days to allow further sales; or the cash prize amount reduced proportionately to match total ticket sales; or participants offered a full refund if they do not wish to continue.
- This ensures that the raffle remains financially viable and that at least 20% of total proceeds benefit 5th Avenue's charitable activities.
11: Allocation of Funds
- At least 20% of proceeds will go directly to 5th Avenue's community projects. The remaining funds will cover running costs.
- A financial record of income, expenditure and donations will be maintained and reported to the registering authority after each draw.
10: Acceptance of terms
- Buying a ticket implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- These terms may be amended by the organiser, if required by law or operational necessity, any change will be posted on the raffle page in advance of ticket sales closing.
